JAFO runs a photo competition from the first brief to the awards – and across the season all the way to the annual standings. Everything lives in your WordPress; the images stay on your server.
Step 1 — Preparation
Set a brief, deadlines automatically
You create a theme and enter a single date – the evening of the image review. JAFO works out the opening, reminder, submission deadline, voting window and results from it. Editable as defaults, switchable off per brief, with a live preview as you type.

Step 2 — Submitting
Via the dashboard or simply by email
Participants upload their photos in the protected member dashboard – or send them as an attachment to a competition address. JPG only, oversized images are downscaled to 4K automatically, and JAFO handles naming as Lastname_Firstname_Title. Invalid entries are rejected automatically.

Step 3 — Scoring
Full-screen, 1–9 points, no login
Every member gets a personal link – no WordPress login needed. The image is shown as large as possible, pan- and zoomable, with a real full-screen mode and a graphical 1-to-9 score bar. Points stay editable until the deadline and private until the jury evaluates. Scoring by members and/or a jury.

Step 4 — Evaluating
Placements, distribution, outliers
The jury evaluation shows total and average scores, the distribution from 1 to 9, and marks outlier votes. Tied images share a rank cleanly. One click exports all photos as a ZIP, named by placement. Incorrect ratings can be removed transparently and with a log entry.

Step 5 — Discussion & annual standings
From the club night to the club championship
The results come with an invitation and a score table for the club night, where the images are discussed. Across the season JAFO turns the placements into the annual ranking automatically: first place counts 15 points, second place fourteen, and so on. Automatic scheduling emails accompany every phase, personalised per recipient. A public photo gallery shows every finished competition.
